Poor packing is the most common cause of breakage and loss
during a move. Transporting fragile and delicate items involves much more than placing them into boxes. While
some items like bedding, towels and books don't necessarily call for professional attention, other items demand
the kind of protection only experienced, professional packers can provide. Bekins has packed the personal possessions of thousands of families. This experience has shown us which
materials and packing methods provide the most reliable protection. We use only clean cartons of various sizes
to custom pack your belongings. For those items that need extra attention, we can construct special wooden
crates. Dust-proof, reinforced wardrobe cartons keep clothing and draperies neat and clean, so they're ready
to use right away when you arrive at your new home. Reinforced, telescoping cartons offer maximum protection for mirrors and glass-front pictures.
Mirrors and glass-front pictures are taped, then wrapped with soft, non-scratching paper and sealed
in special corrugated cartons. |

Can Bekins Move Jewellery and Other Valuables? We recommend that you carry irreplaceable or expensive items with you. Jewellery, legal or valuable documents, stamp, coin or card collections, etc., can also be transported by bank couriers should you not want to carry them with you. Bekins Moving & Storage, as with any other carrier, can not assume any liability for such items. |

 You may decide to pack some of your possessions yourself. We suggest that you limit your packing to non-breakable items such as linens, books, etc. Bekins Moving & Storage can provide you with proper packing materials at a nominal cost.
Please remember that if you do your own packing, Bekins will not assume responsibility for the condition of the contents at destination, since we have no control over how they've been packed. Any fragile items such as lampshades, mirrors, glass, marble, mattresses etc. that are not professionally packed travels exclusively at owners risk.
